Three Days of Healing and Hope in Masbate Province

· admin

When the New Hope to Asia team landed at Masbate Airport, the journey ahead was clear: three full days of hands-on ministry in a community that had been waiting for this moment. For the residents of Masbate Province, this marked the first time doctors and dentists had ever come to serve them — and the team arrived ready to give everything they had.

A Partnership Rooted in Service

The mission was made possible through a partnership with the WeServe Medical and Evangelistic Team and Rina Remitio Lozada. Volunteers in their green WeServe shirts worked side by side with the New Hope to Asia team, creating a unified force of compassion. From early morning until the work was done each day, the teams served together with one purpose: to bring healing and hope.

Care That Touches Every Need

Over three days, the outreach provided free medical consultations, dental treatments, and children’s ministry programs. Senior citizens who had long waited for proper vision care received reading glasses — a simple gift that opened a whole new world. Every consultation was an act of love, and every treatment carried the message that these lives matter deeply.

While the medical and dental teams served adults, the children’s outreach brought joy, songs, and Bible stories to the youngest members of the community. Every part of the mission worked together to reach the whole family.

“Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.”

Matthew 10:8

Hearts Ready to Receive

What made these three days extraordinary was the openness of the community. Families welcomed the teams into their midst with gratitude and trust. The outreach became more than a medical mission — it became a meeting point between physical care and the love of Jesus.

Teacher Mona Teodoro and the team are grateful to the Lord for this precious opportunity to share both medical care and the Gospel with hearts ready to receive both. The seeds planted in Masbate Province will continue to grow long after the team has returned home.
