New Hope to Asia Christian Foundation School
A season of gratitude, worship, and wonder — from Kinder to Grade 6
“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!”
Psalm 150:6
Every year, NHTA Christian School sets aside a special season to pause and give thanks — Thank You Sunday. Classrooms become stages, lessons turn into worship, and children lead the entire congregation in praise. From January through March 2026, each grade level took their turn, filling the sanctuary with music, movement, and heartfelt gratitude.
This year’s Thank You Sunday wove together the golden thread of Psalm 150 — a call for everything that has breath to praise the Lord. And that is exactly what happened. Week after week, students from Kinder through Grade 6 stepped onto the stage with songs, dances, recitations, and instruments, each offering a unique expression of worship and thanksgiving.
Kinder
The Tiniest Voices, the Biggest Hearts
The youngest students of NHTA opened Thank You Sunday with a Psalm 150 recitation that drew smiles from every corner of the room. Their voices — small yet sure — echoed the ancient words of praise before they transitioned into a joyful dance that had the whole congregation clapping along. Watching four- and five-year-olds declare “Praise the Lord!” with such conviction was a beautiful reminder that worship welcomes every age.
Grade 1
Dancing for the King
Grade 1 brought contagious energy to the sanctuary with a Planetshakers-inspired dance. Arms raised high, feet moving in joyful unison, these young worshippers showed what it means to praise with your whole body. Their smiles were as bright as their choreography — a celebration of thankfulness that had parents reaching for their cameras and grandparents wiping happy tears.
Grade 2
Movement as Worship
Grade 2 took the stage with a choreographed dance that told its own story of gratitude. Every step was intentional, every formation a reflection of hours of practice and hearts full of thanks. Their performance was a testament to the dedication of both students and teachers who poured themselves into the preparation — and the result was a moment the congregation carried with them long after the music faded.
Grade 3
We Bless Your Name
With the worship anthem “We Bless” as their soundtrack, Grade 3 delivered a performance that moved hearts. Synchronized dance and heartfelt worship combined to create a moment that lingered long after the last note. These students understood the assignment — to bless the name of the Lord with everything they had. The reverence in their movements spoke as clearly as any sermon.
Grade 5
Sambahin Ka, O Yahweh — A Filipiniana Celebration
Grade 5 brought a deeply cultural dimension to Thank You Sunday. Dressed in traditional Filipiniana attire, they performed “Sambahin Ka O Yahweh” — a Filipino worship song that translates to “Worship You, O God.” The performance was a stunning fusion of Filipino heritage and Christian praise, a living declaration that gratitude speaks in every language and tradition. The swirl of colorful skirts and the reverence in their voices turned the sanctuary into sacred ground.
When faith and culture dance together, worship becomes deeply personal — and deeply communal.
Grade 6
Tribes — A Ukulele Farewell
The emotional peak of Thank You Sunday belonged to Grade 6. As the oldest students in the school, this was their final Thank You Sunday — and they made every moment count. Dressed in vibrant Filipiniana attire and holding colorful ukuleles, they performed “Tribes” — a celebration of unity, identity, and belonging. The sound of ukuleles filling the sanctuary, accompanied by young voices raised in harmony, brought tears to many eyes.
This was worship, culture, and community woven into one breathtaking performance. These graduating students reminded us all that praise can be both deeply rooted in heritage and freely offered to God. Their ukulele farewell was a gift — to their families, their teachers, and to the God who calls every tribe and every tongue to worship.
Let Everything That Has Breath
Thank You Sunday is more than a school program — it is a declaration. When children lead worship, something shifts in the room. The congregation is reminded of what pure, wholehearted praise looks like. These students, from the youngest Kinder voices to the graduating Grade 6 ukulele players, showed us all what it means to let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
At NHTA Christian School, faith formation lives beyond textbooks and quizzes. It breathes in the songs, the dances, the recitations, and the courage of young hearts stepping onto a stage to honor God. Thank You Sunday 2026 was a season to treasure.
